Airport city is a bunch of buildings. Hydropolis is underwater, much cooler, no? As long as the oil prices keep rising the bubble will sustain. But as soon as the black stuff runs dry, construction will come to a dead halt, I bet. Hopefully these new fangled airports and hotels will keep the gulf alive. Blind Saudi bastards, don't know what they're in for.
you do realize Hydropolis is in Dubai.. and lo and behold, they will also have the Burj tallest building thingy as well. You're right, it'll only last as long as the oil is in play.
No no, I meant the blind Saudi bastards haven't got any Hydropolis or massive trade free zones or anything really to keep them stable after the oil is all gone. The Dxb construction bubble is sure to burst but there is hope of national survival (on MUCH cheaper terms) post-oil. Unless the climate change they're just asking for washes everything away. *sigh*
oh haha, QS, funny because it's true. screw burj, let's all go to jabal al noor instead for a cheese-potato sandwich w/ titanic juice.
hurricanes, i'm betting on hurricanes. living at the palms/hydropolis/world-map would freak me out, i couldn't do it. what's wrong with a nice villa in the desert? you could spend the money you save on killer dune-bashers.

I presume the architects haven't paid attention to this ongoing global phenomenon known as sea-level rise.
